Champion’s Cup Tournament
On March 16 The Champion’s Cup Judo Tournament will take place at the Peery Family Center in Palo Alto. We invite all our Honto students to attend!
All Hanabi students will be testing during the month of March. Those who pass their tests successfully with receive either a “shima”, a stripe, or a higher rank of belt. Students must receive 5 shimas before being promoted to their next belt unless Sensei decides that they are qualified to skip and go directly to their next belt test. Skipping shimas happens most often with competitors and older students. Shima promotions are $35 and new belts are $50. The belt promotion ceremony will be on Wednesday, March 26 at 6:45.
